Bambu Station Celebrates The Pre-release Of “Break The Soil”
|(Washington, D.C., June 2006) Fresh from their Spring tour in California and Hawaii, where festival and concert goers basked in the glory of sensational sounds, provocative lyrics, and dynamic performances, the Virgin Island’s gem of a band, Bambu Station, will be in their adopted home to give the DC metro area a treat!
Bambu Station first graced us with their incredible sound in 1999 with the release of “Congo Moon” and then with the single “Amadou Diallo,” in 2000 and has maintained a huge and loyal following with albums such as “Talkin’ Roots Volume I” and “Talkin’ Roots Volume II,” and the award-winning classic “One Day.” Their newest album, “Break The Soil” promises to be well worth the wait and packed with the usual forthright, haunting, and soul-stirring songs.
On Sunday, June 18th, Mayorga Coffee House, located at 8040 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD, will be buzzing with excitement, as the band and the music loving community celebrate the pre-release of “Break the Soil.” The album will be officially released on July 28th. There will be CD and poster signing, a video slideshow presentation, photograph session, and a live performance featuring tracks from their previous albums and the great new album!
Bring your family, relatives, friends and neighbors, and enjoy a lovely day with a special band. This event is for all ages, FREE to the public, and will be held from 4pm – 8pm, so you have a lot of time to get the other stuff out of the way before you arrive relaxed for a Sunday evening treat! Mayorga Coffee House serves gelatos, coffee and tea, and various desserts.
