Sly & Robbie Nominated For Grammy Award

Kingston, JA/New York, NY – Dec 11, 2006 Legendary Reggae musicians Sly & Robbie have been nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best Reggae Album of 2006 with their critically-acclaimed Rhythm Doubles.

Released in September, Rhythm Doubles is the 45th album from the award winning duo. Sly & Robbie received their first golden gramophone in 1984, in the then newly created Best Reggae Recording category, as part of Black Uhuru for Anthem. The pair scored their second win with Friends in 1998. The “Riddim Twins” are also recognized on Buju Banton’s 2006 Grammy nominated album Too Bad for their production work on the smash single “Driver A.”

Spanning over three decades, the partnership of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare has been the ultimate musical marriage, birthing an estimated 200,000 tracks.
